Rear Lower Arm B Replacement

1.Raise the rear of the vehicle, and support it with safety stands in the proper locations.

2.Remove the rear wheel.

3.Place a jack under the lower arm B to support the suspension.

4.Remove the dumper mounting bolt (A).

5.Remove the lower arm B mounting bolt (C).

6.Lower the jack and lower arm B, remove the spring (A), spring mounting rubber (C) and lower spring seat (D).

NOTE: When install the spring, align the stopped part (E) of lower spring seat with the stopped part (F) of the lower arm B and with the spring lower end (G).

7.Mark the cam position of the adjusting bolt (A) and frame.

8.Remove the self-locking nut (B) and the adjust cam (C) while holding the adjusting bolt.

9.Install the lower arm B in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:

  • Align the cam positions of the adjusting bolt and adjusting cam with the marked positions when tightening.
  • Use a new self-locking nut on reassembly.
  • Tighten all mounting hardware to the specified torque values.
  • Before installing the wheel, clean the mating surfaces of the drum in brake disc and the inside of the wheel.
  • Check the wheel alignment, and adjust it if necessary.
