Interior Trim Removal/Installation - Door Area

Without Side Curtain Airbag
NOTE:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.
When prying with a flat-tip screwdriver, wrap it with protective tape to prevent damage.
Take care not to bend or scratch the trim and panels.
LHD is shown; RHD is symmetrical.

Remove the trim as shown:

Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
Replace any damaged clips.
Push the clip portions into place securely.
Apply liquid thread lock to the front seat belt upper anchor bolt before installation.
Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the belts.
With Side Curtain Airbag
NOTE:
Put on gloves to protect your hands.

Remove the trim as shown:

Install the trim in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
If the side curtain airbag have deployed, be sure to check the
removed trim pieces for damage before reinstallation,
and if necessary, replace them with new ones.
If the side curtain airbag have not deployed,
removed trim pieces should still be checked for damage,
and replace them with new ones if necessary.
Make sure the top of the trim overlaps with the headliner correctly.
Make sure the trim hooks are installed into holes in the side curtain airbag center bracket securely.
Push the clip portions into place securely.
Apply liquid thread lock to the front seat belt upper anchor bolt before installation.
Before installing the anchor bolts, make sure there are no twists or kinks in the belts.
