| DTC 2: | A Short in the Air Mix Control Motor Circuit |
| 1. | Disconnect the air mix control motor 7P connector. |
| 2. | Disconnect audio-HVAC module 22P connector. |
| 3. | Check for continuity between body ground and the audio-HVAC module 22P connector terminals No. 9, 13, 14, 17, and 18 individually. Is there continuity? YES - Repair any short to body ground in the wire(s) between the audio-HVAC module and the air mix control motor.n NO - Go to 4. |
| 4. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II), and check the same terminals for voltage. Is there any voltage? YES - Repair any short to power in the wire(s) between the audio-HVAC module and the air mix control motor. This short may also damage the printed circuit board. Repair the short to power before replacing the printed circuit board.n NO - Test the air mix control motor. If the air mix control motor is OK, substitute a known-good audio-HVAC module, and recheck. If the symptom/indication goes away, replace the original printed circuit board.n |
