| DTC P0335: | CKP Sensor No Signal |
| 1. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 2. | Do the DTC CLEAR in the CLEAR MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 3. | Start the engine. |
| 4. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. Is DTC P0335 indicated? YES - Go to 5. NO - Intermittent failure, system is OK at this time.Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the CKP sensor and the ECM/PCM.n |
| 5. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 6. | Disconnect the CKP sensor 3P connector. |
| 7. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 8. | Measure voltage between CKP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 and body ground. Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to 9. NO - Repair open in the wire between the CKP sensor and the PGM-FI main relay 1 (FI MAIN), then go to 19. |
| 9. | Measure voltage between CKP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 2 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Go to 10. NO - Go to 11. |
| 10. | Measure voltage between CKP sensor 3P connector terminal No. 1 and No. 3. Is there battery voltage? YES - Go to 16. NO - Repair open in the wire between the CKP sensor and G101, then go to 19. |
| 11. | Measure voltage between ECM/PCM connector terminal A7 and body ground. Is there about 5 V? YES - Repair open in the wire between the ECM/PCM (A7) and the CKP sensor, then go to 19. NO - Go to 12. |
| 12. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 13. | Jump the SCS line with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 14. | Disconnect ECM/PCM connector A (31P). |
| 15. | Check for continuity between ECM/PCM connector terminal A7 and body ground. Is there continuity? YES - Repair short in the wire between the ECM/PCM (A7) and the CKP sensor, then go to 18. NO - Go to 24. |
| 16. | Turn the ignition switch OFF. |
| 17. | Replace the CKP sensor, then go to 18. |
| 18. | Turn the ignition switch ON (II). |
| 19. | Do the ECM/PCM RESET in the CLEAR MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 20. | Do the CKP PATTERN CLEAR in the CLEAR MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. |
| 21. | Do the ECM/PCM idle learn procedure. |
| 22. | Do the CKP pattern learn procedure. |
| 23. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0335 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the CKP sensor and the ECM/PCM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC troubleshooting. NO - Troubleshooting is complete.n |
| 24. | Update the ECM/PCM if it does not have the latest software, or substitute a known-good ECM/PCM. |
| 25. | Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs in the DTCs MENU with the Honda PGM Tester or the HDS. Are any Temporary DTCs or DTCs indicated? YES - If DTC P0335 is indicated, check for poor connections or loose terminals at the CKP sensor and the ECM/PCM, then go to 1. If any other Temporary DTCs or DTCs are indicated, go to the indicated DTC troubleshooting. NO - If the ECM/PCM was updated, troubleshooting is complete. If the ECM/PCM was substituted, replace the original ECM/PCM.n |
