Engine Oil Replacement
  1. Refill the engine with the recommended oil.
    Capacity
    At Oil Change: 4.0 L (4.2 US qt, 3.5 lmp qt)
    At Oil Change Including Filter: 4.2 L (4.4 US qt, 3.7 lmp qt)
    After Engine Overhaul: 5.3 L (5.6 US qt, 4.8 lmp qt)

  1. Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the engine control module (ECM)/powertrain control module (PCM). If it doesn't communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit.
  1. Select BODY ELECTRICAL with the HDS.
  1. Select ADJUSTMENT in GAUGE MENU with the HDS.
  1. Select SERVICE REMINDER in the EU MAINTENANCE MINDER with the HDS.
  1. Select SERVICE REMINDER ITEM A with the HDS.
  1. Run the engine for more than 3 minutes, then check the oil level and oil leaks.
