Check the oil pump oil seal for damage. If the oil seal is damaged, replace the oil seal.

Remove all of the old liquid gasket from the oil pump mating surfaces, bolts, and bolt holes.

Clean and dry the oil pump mating surfaces.

Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08C70-K0234M, 08C70-K0334M, or 08C70-X0331S) to the engine block mating surface of the oil pump and to the inner threads of the bolt holes.

NOTE: Apply liquid gasket about 2.5 mm (0.098 in.) diameter bead along the broken line (A).

Apply liquid gasket to the engine block upper surface contact areas (B) and the lower block upper surface contact areas (C) on the oil pump.

NOTE: Apply about 11 mm (0.43 in.) diameter and about 3 mm (0.12 in.) thickness of liquid gasket to the areas (B) and (C).
