Remove the pin from the auto-tensioner.

Check the oil pump oil seal for damage. If the oil seal is damaged, replace the oil seal.

Remove the all of the old liquid gasket from the oil pump mating surfaces, the bolts, and the bolt holes.

Clean and dry the oil pump mating surfaces.
