A/T Pressure Test

  1. Connect the A/T oil pressure gauge to the line pressure inspection port (A). Do not allow dust or other foreign particles to enter the port while connecting the gauge.
  1. Start the engine, and warm it up to normal operating temperature (the radiator fan comes on).
  1. Hold the engine speed at 2,000 rpm (min −1 ) with the shift lever in P or N.
  1. Measure the line pressure at the line pressure inspection port.
NOTE: Higher pressure may be indicated if measurements are made in shift lever positions other than P or N.

    R20A3 Engine Model:

    Pressure
    Fluid Pressure
    Standard
    Service Limit
    Line (A)
    902−960 kPa (9.2−9.8 kgf/cm 2 , 131−139 psi)
    853 kPa (8.7 kgf/cm 2 , 124 psi)

    K24Z3 Engine Model:

    Pressure
    Fluid Pressure
    Standard
    Service Limit
    Line (A)
    927−985 kPa (9.45−10.05 kgf/cm 2 , 134−143 psi)
    877 kPa (8.95 kgf/cm 2 , 127 psi)

  1. Turn the engine off, then disconnect the A/T oil pressure gauge from the line pressure inspection port.
  1. Install the sealing bolt in the line pressure inspection port with a new sealing washer, and tighten the sealing bolt to 18 N·m (1.8 kgf·m, 13 lbf·ft). Do not reuse the old sealing washer.
