MTF Inspection and Replacement
  1. Install the engine undercover (A) to the splash shield.
  1. Lower the vehicle on the lift.
  1. Check the service information in the service remainder system, if the system is equipped, go to Step 10 .
  1. Connect the Honda Diagnostic System (HDS) to the data link connector (DLC): R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the ECM. If it doesn't communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
  1. Select BODY ELECTRICAL with the HDS.
  1. Select ADJUSTMENT in the GAUGES MENU with the HDS,
  1. Select SERVICE REMINDER in the EU MAINTENANCE MINDER with the HDS.
  1. Reset SERVICE REMINDER ITEM 3 (shows MTF)with the HDS.
