DTC Troubleshooting: 76-4x, 76-5x, 76-63
DTC 76-4x (‘‘x'' can be 0 thru 6, 9 or A thru F), 76-5x (‘‘x'' can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F), 76-63:
Internal Failure of E-pretensioner Unit
  1. Clear the DTC memory.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.
Does the SRS indicator stay on?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.
NO -
Replace the E-pretensioner unit. ■
