DTC Troubleshooting: 62-2x - With Seat Heater
DTC 62-2x (''x'' can be 0 thru 9 or A thru F):
Short in the Right Side Seat Belt Buckle Switch (With seat heater)
NOTE: Before doing this troubleshooting procedure, review SRS Precautions and Procedures and General Troubleshooting Information.
  1. Clear the DTC memory.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then wait for 10 seconds.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), then buckle and unbuckle the right side seat belt several times.
  1. Read the DTC.
Is DTC 62-2x indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Go to Troubleshooting Intermittent Failures. If another DTC is indicated, troubleshoot the DTC.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the SRS floor wire harness 2P connector (A) from the right side seat belt buckle switch.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Read the DTC.
Is DTC 62-2x indicated?
YES -
Short to ground in the passenger's (LHD model) or driver's (RHD model) seat wire harness, SRS floor wire harness; replace the faulty harness.■
NO -
Faulty right side seat belt buckle switch; replace the right side seat belt buckle assembly. ■
