How to Troubleshoot the SRS
Clear the DTC Memory With the HDS
NOTE: Make sure the battery is fully charged before you begin.
  1. Make sure the ignition switch is in LOCK (0).
  1. Connect the HDS to the data link connector (DLC) (A).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Make sure the HDS communicates with the vehicle and the SRS unit. If it does not communicate, troubleshoot the DLC circuit:
    • R20A3 engine
    • K24Z3 engine
  1. In the SRS MENU of the HDS, select SRS, then DTC to clear DTC(s).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), then wait for 10 seconds.
  1. Disconnect the HDS from the DLC.
