DTC Troubleshooting: B1837
DTC B1837:
 Driving Position Memory Recall Timeout
  1. Clear the DTC with the HDS.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  1. Move the power seat to the full front up and full rear up positions, then slide the seat all the way back and completely recline the seat-back backward with the power seat adjustment switch.
  1. Put this seating position into memory with the driving position memory switch.
  1. Manually move the seat away from the positions just memorized.
  1. Recall the memory positions with the driving position memory switch.
  1. Wait for 3 minutes.
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 9 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs other than B1837 indicated?
YES -
Go to the indicated DTCs troubleshooting.■
NO -
Go to Step 10 .
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Wait for 6 seconds.
  1. Move each power seat motor one at a time, and check the operation time.
Does any motor fail to run smoothly?
YES -
Go to the power seat motor test.
If the motor is OK, check the engagement of the motor gear.■
NO -
Go to the power seat control unit input test. ■
