DTC Troubleshooting: 2707

DTC 2707:
 MIC Diag
NOTE: Before you troubleshoot, make sure to follow the general troubleshooting information.
  1. Clear the hard error code.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
  1. Go into the Diagnostic Menu and select the Self-Diagnosis Mode in the Select Diagnosis items menu.
  1. Select the System Links.
Is the Mic icon red?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Go to Step 8 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at Hands Free Telephone control unit 28P connector, HFT/navigation microphone 7P connector, and navigation control unit D (5P) connector.
Are the connections OK?
YES -
Go to Step 6 .
NO -
Repair poor connections or loose terminals.■
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1775 or B1776 indicated?
YES -
Troubleshooting the indicated DTC.■
NO -
Go to Step 10 .
  1. Select the Mic in the System Links.
  1. Select the Talk Switch icon in steering Switch, then check the Mic Level.
Is the microphone level OK?
YES -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
NO -
Replace the HFT/navigation microphone. ■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the HFT/navigation microphone 7P connector.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Measure the voltage between the body ground and HFT/navigation microphone 7P connector terminals No. 6 and No. 7 individually.
Are there battery voltage?
YES -
Go to Step 14 .
NO -
Repair open in the wire(s).■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
