DTC Troubleshooting: U0104
DTC U0104:
 Gauge Control Module Lost Communication with ACC Unit (ACC message)
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  1. Wait for 6 seconds or more.
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC U0104 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
  1. Check for ACC DTCs with the HDS.
Is any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting, then recheck.
NO -
Go to Step 6 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.
  1. Disconnect the ACC unit 20P connector.
  1. Check for continuity between the gauge control module 32P connector No. 21 and No. 22 terminals and the ACC unit 20P connector No. 10 and No. 20 terminals respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Substitute a known-good ACC unit, and recheck. If the indication goes away, replace the original ACC unit. If the DTC is still present, replace the gauge control module. ■
NO -
Repair an open in the wire.■
