DTC Troubleshooting: 30

  1. Check for voltage between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 1 terminal and body ground.
Is there battery voltage?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the wire between the ACC unit and the relay circuit board, or between the ACC unit and the brake lights circuits.■
NO -
Check for loose or poor connections. If OK, update the ACC unit, then recheck. If the ACC unit was update already, replace the ACC unit. ■
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Turn the main switch to ON.
  1. Check the brake lights with the brake pedal pressed.
Do the brake lights come on?
YES -
Go to Step 15 .
NO -
Go to Step 38 .
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 30 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 16
NO -
Go to Step 21 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Remove the relay circuit board.
  1. Disconnect the 20P connector from the ACC unit.
