Dashboard Replacement

SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Have an assistant help you when removing and installing the dashboard.
  • Take care not to scratch the dashboard, the body and the other related parts.
  • Take care not to bend the brackets.
  • When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.
  • LHD model is shown; RHD model is symmetrical.
  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait at least 3 minutes before beginning work.
  1. Remove these items from the dashboard:
    • Driver's dashboard lower cover
    • Driver's dashboard undercover
    • Driver's outer dashboard trim
    • Center console panel
    • Center console rear trim
    • Driver's center trim
    • Passenger's dashboard trim
    • Passenger's center trim
    • Center console
    • Driver's rear ventilation duct and passenger's rear ventilation duct, with rear ventilation
    • Side pockets, both sides
    • Center holder
    • Climate control unit
    • Center pocket, without navigation system
    • Center panel, without audio system
    • Driver's dashboard side lid
    • Passenger's dashboard side lid
    • Dashboard side vents, both sides
    • Side defogger vent trim, both sides
    • Speaker lid
    • Glove box
    • Passenger's dashboard undercover
    • Gauge control module
    • Audio unit:
    • -
      Without navigation system

      With navigation system
    • Audio/navigation switch panel, with navigation system
    • Center display, without navigation system
    • Navigation display, with navigation system
    • Sunlight sensor
    • In-car temperature sensor
    • Center speaker, with premium sound system

Driver's side
  1. Detach the switch subharness connector clip or the harness clip (A), and the harness clip (B) from the dashboard.
