Trunk Lid Opener Cable Replacement
NOTE:
  • Put on gloves to protect your hands.
  • Take care not to scratch the body and the related parts.
  1. Remove these items:
    • Rear seat cushion
    • Rear seat side bolster, both sides
    • Rear door opening seal, as needed
    • Rear pillar trim, both sides
    • Rear center seat belt lower anchor
    • Rear bulkhead cover
    • Trunk side trim panel, both sides for some models:
      • -
      With temporary repair kit (TRK)/with compact spare tyre
      -
      With normal spare tyre
    • Trunk hinge trim, right side for some models
    • Trunk lid trim panel, for some models
  1. KE model: Remove the bolts, then remove the trunk lid frame protector (A) from the trunk lid.
  1. Disconnect the trunk lid opener cable from the trunk lid cylinder, and from the trunk compartment, pull the cable out through the hole in the body. Take care not to kink the cable.
