Parking and Back-up Sensor Control Unit Input Test

  1. Remove the driver's dashboard undercover, then remove the dashboard lower cover.
  1. Remove the parking and back-up sensor control unit (A).
  1. Disconnect the 16P connector (B) from the parking and back-up sensor control unit.
  1. Inspect the connector and socket terminals to be sure they are all making good contact.
    • If the terminal are bent, loose or corroded, repair them as necessary, and recheck the system.
    • If the terminals look OK, go to Step 5 .
  1. With the connectors still disconnected, make these input tests at the connectors.
    • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
    • If all the input tests prove OK, go to Step 6 .

  1. Reconnect the 16P connector to the parking and back-up sensor control unit, and make these input tests at the connector.
    • If any test indicates a problem, find and correct the cause, then recheck the system.
    • If all the input tests prove OK, control unit must be faulty; replace it.
