DTC P0962:
Problem in A/T Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve A Circuit
NOTE:
K24Z3 Engine Model

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-
Clear the DTC with the HDS.
-
Start the engine, and wait for at least 1 second.
-
Check for Temporary DTCs or DTCs with the HDS.
-
Select Clutch Pressure Control (Linear) Solenoid Valve A in the Miscellaneous Test Menu, and test A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A with the HDS.

Does the HDS indicate NORMAL?
|
-
In the Clutch Pressure Control Solenoid Valve Control menu, select A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A at 1.0 A.
-
Monitor the OBD STATUS for P0962 in the DTCs MENU with the HDS.

Does the HDS indicate FAILED?
|
|
YES
|
-

|
|
NO
|
-
|
If the HDS indicates PASSED, intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for poor connections or loose terminals between A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A and the PCM. If the HDS indicates NOT COMPLETED, go to
Step 5
.

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-
Jump the SCS line with the HDS.
-
Disconnect PCM connectors A (49P) and C (49P).
-
Measure the voltage between PCM connector terminals A1 and C44.
|
Is there battery voltage?
|
|
YES
|
-
|
|
|
NO
|
-
|
Check for a blown No. 10 fuse (10 A) in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box. If the fuse is OK, repair open in the wire between PCM connector terminal A1 and the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box, then go to
Step 18
.

Disconnect the A/T clutch pressure control solenoid valve A connector.
