Engine Oil Pan Removal

  1. If the engine is already out of the vehicle, go to Step 13 .
  1. Remove the vacuum hose (A), front engine mount stop (B), and vacuum hose bracket (C), then remove the front engine mount bolt (D).
  1. Raise the vehicle on the lift to pull height.
  1. Remove the left front wheel.
  1. Remove the left side driveshaft. Coat all precision-finished surface with new engine oil. Tie a plastic bag over the driveshaft end.

  1. Remove the transmission lower mount.
M/T model
A/T model

  1. A/T model: Remove the shift cable cover.

  1. Use a transmission jack to lift the transmission 30−40 mm (1.2−1.6 in.).

  1. Remove the clutch cover/torque converter cover (A) and transmission mounting bolts (B).

  1. EU models: Remove the oil level sensor cover (A), then disconnect the oil level sensor connector (B). Remove the bolts (C) securing the harness clamp bracket.
  1. Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.

  1. Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the block in the places shown.
  1. Remove the oil pan.
