Injector Replacement

  1. Remove the fuel pipe cover (A).
  1. Disconnect the injector connectors (B), the MAP sensor connector (C) and the rocker arm oil control valve connector (D).
  1. Remove the quick-connect fitting cover (E), then disconnect the quick-connect fitting (F).
  1. Remove the fuel rail mounting nuts (G) from the fuel rail (H).
  1. Remove the fuel rail and the injectors from the cylinder head (I).
  1. Remove the injector clips (J) from the fuel rail.
  1. Remove the injectors from the fuel rail.

  1. Coat the new O-ring (Black) (A) with clean engine oil, and insert the injectors (B) into the fuel rail (C).
  1. Install the injector clips (D).
  1. Coat the injector O-ring (Brown) (E) with clean engine oil.
  1. Install the fuel rail and the injectors into the cylinder head (F).
  1. Install the fuel rail mounting nuts (G).
  1. Connect the injector connectors (H), the MAP sensor connector (I), and the rocker arm oil control valve connector (J).
  1. Connect the quick-connect fitting (K), and the quick-connect fitting cover (L).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), but do not operate the starter. After the fuel pump runs for about 2 seconds, the fuel rail will be pressurized. Repeat this 2 or 3 times, then check for fuel leakage.
  1. Install the fuel pipe cover (M).
