Fails emission test (MIL works OK, no DTCs set)
Diagnostic procedure
  1. Except KE, KG, KR models: Inspect the three way catalytic converter (TWC).
  2. Except KE, KG, KR models: Check the spark plugs.
  3. Test the fuel pressure.
  4. Except KE, KG, KR models: Test the injectors.
  5. Check the EVAP system.
  6. Troubleshoot the VTEC system oil pressure.
Also check for
  • Fuel contamination
  • Low compression
  • Broken cam chain
