Engine Oil Pan Removal
If the engine is already out of the vehicle, go to
Step 13
.
Remove the drive belt.
Remove the A/C compressor without disconnecting the A/C hoses.
Raise the vehicle on the lift to full height.
Remove the splash shield.
Drain the engine oil.
Remove exhaust pipe A.
Remove the right side damper fork.
Separate the right side knuckle from the lower arm.
Remove the right side driveshaft.
Coat all precision-finished surfaces with clean engine oil. Tie plastic bag over the driveshaft end.
Remove the intermediate shaft.
With A/T model: Remove the shift cable cover.
Remove the oil level sensor cover (A), then disconnect the oil level sensor connector (B).
Remove the bolts securing the harness holder.
Remove the A/C compressor bracket.
Remove the clutch cover/torque converter cover (A), and remove the two bolts (B) securing the transmission.
Remove the bolts securing the oil pan.
Using a flat blade screwdriver, separate the oil pan from the block in the places shown.
Remove the oil pan.
