Remove the center console.

Disconnect the shift lever 6P connector.

Shift into P, and check for continuity between park pin switch/A/T gear position indicator panel light connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

There should be no continuity.

Shift out of P, and check for continuity between connector terminals No. 1 and No. 2.

There should be continuity.

If the park pin switch tests OK.

If the park pin switch fails the test, replace the park pin switch; LHD model, RHD model.

Install the center console.
