A/T Interlock System - Key Interlock Solenoid Test
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service.
  1. Remove these items:
  1. Disconnect the steering lock assembly connector.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ACCESSORY (I).
  1. Connect the positive battery terminal to steering lock assembly connector terminal No. 4, and connect the negative battery terminal to No. 3 terminal. Check that the ignition switch cannot be turned to LOCK (0). Release the battery terminals, and check that the ignition switch can be turned to LOCK (0) position and removed from the cylinder.
  1. If the key interlock solenoid works improperly, replace the ignition key cylinder/steering lock assembly.
  1. Install these items:
