Remove the snap ring using a screwdriver.

For R20A3 engine model 1st clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (5), the clutch wave-plates (C) (5), and the waved spring (D) from the 1st clutch drum (E).

For R20A3 engine model 2nd clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (5), the clutch wave-plates (C) (3), the 2.0 mm-thick clutch flat-plate (D) (1), the 4.0 mm-thick plate (E), and the waved spring (F) from the 2nd clutch drum (G).

Make a reference mark on the 2.0 mm-thick flat-plate.

For R20A3 engine model 3rd clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (5), the clutch wave-plates (C) (3), the clutch flat-plates (D) (2), and the waved spring (E) from the 3rd clutch drum (F).

Make a reference marks on the flat-plates.

For K24Z3 engine model 1st clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (5), the clutch wave-plates (C) (4), the clutch flat-plate (D) (1), and the waved spring (E) from the 1st clutch drum (F).

Make a reference mark on the flat-plate.

For K24Z3 engine model 2nd clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (6), the clutch wave-plates (C) (5), the clutch flat-plate (D) (1), and the waved spring (E) from the 2nd clutch drum (F).

Make a reference mark on the flat-plate.

For K24Z3 engine model 3rd clutch: Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (6), the clutch wave-plates (C) (5), the clutch flat-plate (D) (1), and the waved spring (E) from the 3rd clutch drum (F).

Make a reference mark on the flat-plate.

Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (4), the clutch wave-plates (C) (4), and the waved spring (D) from the 4th clutch drum (E).

Remove the clutch end-plate (A), the clutch discs (B) (4), the clutch wave-plates (C) (4), and the waved spring (D) from the 5th clutch drum (E).

Install the clutch spring compressor attachments and the clutch spring compressor bolt set 10.

Set the clutch spring compressor attachment (A) on the spring retainer (B) of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd clutches so that it pushes on the clutch return spring (C).

Be sure the clutch spring compressor attachment (A) is adjusted to have full contact with the return spring retainer (B) of the 4th and 5th clutches.

Check the placement of the clutch spring compressor attachment. If either end of the clutch spring compressor attachment is set over an area of the spring retainer that is unsupported by the return spring, the spring retainer may be damaged.

Compress the return spring until the snap ring can be removed.

Remove the snap ring using the snap ring pliers.

Remove the clutch spring compressor attachments and clutch spring compressor bolt set 10.

Remove the snap ring (A), the spring retainer (B), and the return spring (C).

Wrap a shop rag around the clutch drum, and apply air pressure to the fluid passage to remove the piston. Place a finger tip on the other passage while applying air pressure.

Remove the piston, then remove the O-rings from the 4th and 5th clutch pistons.

Remove the piston, then remove the O-ring from the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd clutch drum, and remove the O-ring from each clutch piston.
