A/T Paddle Shifter - (Downshift Switch) Replacement
SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations and the precautions and procedures in the SRS before doing repair or service.
  1. Remove the two screws (A) securing the steering wheel rear cover (B).
  1. Release the locks (C) of the steering wheel rear cover, and remove the steering wheel rear cover.
  1. Remove the four screws (D) securing the steering wheel trim (E).
  1. Release the hook (F) and pull up the pins (G) by pulling the steering wheel trim.
  1. Disconnect the connectors (H) from the steering wheel trim.
  1. Disconnect the paddle shifter − (downshift switch) connector. Remove the screw (A) securing the paddle shifter − (downshift switch) (B).
  1. Using a TORX T30 bit, remove the TORX bolt (C), then remove the paddle shifter − (downshift switch).
  1. Install the new paddle shifter − (downshift switch) on the steering wheel.
  1. Connect the paddle shifter − (downshift switch) connector.
  1. Tighten a new TORX bolt to the specified torque.
  1. Connect the connectors. Install the steering wheel trim, and secure the steering wheel trim with the screws.
  1. Install the steering wheel rear cover, and secure the rear cover with the screws.
