Accelerator Pedal Kickdown Click System Learn Procedure
Do the accelerator pedal kickdown click system learn procedure whenever you do any of these actions:
  • Replace PCM.
  • Reset PCM.
  • Update PCM.
  • Replace or remove battery.
  • Replace or remove accelerator pedal module.
  • Kickdown timing and click timing is out of synchronization.
Procedure
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
    NOTE: Do not start the engine in Step 1 through 3.
  1. Shift the shift lever in P or N.
  1. Press the accelerator pedal until touch the floor for at least 5 seconds.
  1. Make sure the shift lever is in P. If the shift lever in N, move the shift lever from N to P.
  1. Start the engine. Test-drive the vehicle to check that a problem does not occur on the accelerator pedal kickdown click system.
