Remove the intake air duct: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.

Remove the air cleaner housing: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.

Carefully remove the shift cables, and cable bracket together to avoid bending the shift cables: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.

Disconnect the reverse lockout solenoid 2P connector (A).

Remove the reverse lockout solenoid (B).

Remove the roller (A), the select lock return spring (C), and select lock cam B.

Install the components of the reverse lockout solenoid in the reverse order of removal.

Clean any the dirt and oil from the reverse lockout solenoid sealing surface.

Apply liquid gasket (P/N 08C70-X0331S) evenly to the change lever assembly mating surface of the reverse lockout solenoid.

NOTE: Do not install components if too much time has passed after applying the liquid gasket. Instead, remove the old residue and reapply the liquid gasket.

Install the reverse lockout solenoid (A).

Connect the reverse lockout solenoid 2P connector (B).

Carefully install the shift cables, and cable bracket together to avoid bending the shift cables: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.

Install the air cleaner housing: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.

Install the intake air duct: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
