M/T Mainshaft Disassembly

Bearing separator set
 07631-0010000
NOTE: Refer to the Exploded View in the Mainshaft Reassembly, as need removing components except pressed into the mainshaft: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
  1. Remove the angular ball bearing (A) using the bearing separator set (B).
  1. Support 5th gear (A) on steel blocks, and press the mainshaft out of the 5th/6th synchro hub (B).
    NOTE: Do not use a jaw-type puller; it can damage the gear teeth.
  1. Support 3rd gear (A) on steel blocks, and press the mainshaft out of the 3rd/4th synchro hub (B).
    NOTE: Do not use a jaw-type puller; it can damage the gear teeth.
