Clutch Hose Replacement

NOTE:
  • Replace the clutch hose if the hose is twisted, cracked, or if it leaks.
  • Use fender covers to avoid damaging painted surfaces.
  • Do not spill brake fluid on the vehicle; it may damage the paint or plastic. If brake fluid does contact the paint or plastic, wash it off immediately water.
  1. Disconnect the ECM connectors, then remove the ECM: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
  1. Remove the ground cable clamp (A), upper battery base mounting bolts (B), and loosen the under battery base mounting bolts (C), then remove the battery base (D).

  1. Disconnect the clutch hose (A) from the clutch lines (B).

  1. Remove and discard the clutch hose clips (C) from the clutch hose (D).
  1. Remove the clutch hose from the clutch line brackets A, B.

  1. Install the clutch hose (C) into the clutch line brackets A, B with the new clutch hose clips (D).

  1. Connect the clutch lines (A) to the clutch hose (B).
  1. Do the following checks:
    • Check the clutch hose and line joints for leaks, and tighten if necessary.
    • Check the clutch hose for interference and twisting.

  1. Install the battery base (A) and the ground cable clamp (B).
  1. Install the ECM, then connect the ECM connectors: R20A3 engine model, K24Z3 engine model.
  1. Test-drive the vehicle.
