Front Side Frame/Outrigger Installation
NOTE:
  1. Clamp the new side frame rear end, and the front side frame, and the measure the front compartment diagonally.
  1. Check the body dimensions.
  1. Tack weld the new parts and the front bulkhead into position.
  1. Temporarily install the front subframe, and check the front side frame position.
  1. Temporarily install the front fender, the hood, and the door, then check for differences in level and clearance. Check the external parts fitting position. If necessary, check the headlight and the front bumper positions. Make sure the body lines flow smoothly.
  1. Do the main welding.
    • Weld the subframe rear bracket (A), the side frame rear end (B), and the outrigger (C) to the dashboard lower (D) and the inside sill (E).
    • Weld the front side frame (F) and the middle mounting stiffener (G).
  1. From the passenger's side, plug weld the holes in the dashboard lower (A), the front floor (B), and the floor frame (C).
  1. Weld the front side frame (A) to the damper housing (B) and the front wheelhouse (C).
  1. Weld the wheelhouse upper inner (A), the lower member (B), and the lower member support (C).
