DTC Troubleshooting: B1829
DTC B1829:
 A/T P Signal and VSS Signal Mismatch
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Start the engine.
  1. Test drive at 10 km/h (6 mph) for 10 seconds.
  1. Check for the DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1829 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
  1. Check the P indicator of the shift position indicator and the MIL.
Does the P indicator and MIL come on?
YES -
Troubleshoot the automatic transmission system.■
NO -
Go to Step 6 .
  1. Check for the gauge control module DTCs with the HDS.
Are there any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Go to the indicated DTC's troubleshooting.■
NO -
Replace the power seat control unit .■
