DTC Troubleshooting: 2705
DTC 2705:
 HFL Diag
NOTE:
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), and then back to ON (II).
  1. Check the System Links.
Is the HFT icon red?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs of HFL indicated?
YES -
Do the HFT DTC troubleshooting.■
NO -
Go to Step 8 .
  1. Disconnect Hands Free Telephone control unit 28P connecter.
  1. Check for continuity between the terminal of Hands Free Telephone control unit 28P connector according to the table.
    From terminal
    To terminals
    No. 8 (GRY)
    No. 6 (WHT), No. 7 (RED), No. 20 (BLK), No. 21 (GRN)

Is there continuity between any of terminals?
YES -
Repair short in the wire(s) between the Hands Free Telephone control unit and navigation unit (replace the appropriate shielded harness).■
NO -
Go to Step 10 .
  1. Disconnect navigation unit connector D (5P).
  1. Connect the Hands Free Telephone control unit 28P connector terminal No. 20 to body ground with a jumper wire.
  1. Check for continuity between navigation unit connector D (5P) terminal No. 1, No. 2, No. 3, and No. 4 to body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
NO -
Repair open in the wire(s) between navigation unit connector D (5P) and Hands Free Telephone control unit 28P connector.■
