DTC Troubleshooting: B2476

DTC B2476:
 Front Suspension Stroke Sensor Circuit Malfunction
  1. Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
  1. Wait for 10 seconds.
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B2476 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections between the headlight leveling control unit and the front suspension stroke sensor.■
  1. Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B2476 and B2477 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 6 .
NO -
Go to Step 15 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector.
  1. Disconnect the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector.
  1. Connect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 1 terminal and body ground with a jumper wire.

  1. Check for continuity between the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector No. 13 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 11 .
NO -
Repair an open in the wire.■
  1. Disconnect the jumper wire from the front suspension stroke sensor.

  1. Disconnect the rear suspension stroke sensor 3P connector, then check for continuity between the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector No. 13 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire.■
NO -
Go to Step 13 .

  1. Connect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 3 terminal and body ground with a jumper wire.

  1. Check for continuity between the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector No. 4 terminal and body ground.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Replace the headlight leveling control unit .■
NO -
Repair an open in the wire.■
  1. Check the parameter of the front suspension stroke sensor with the HDS.
Is less than 0.4 V indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 16 .
NO -
Go to Step 23 .
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector.
  1. Disconnect the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector.

  1. Connect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3 terminals and body ground with jumper wires.

  1. Check for continuity between the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector No. 4, No. 6, and No. 13 terminals and body ground respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 21 .
NO -
Repair an open in the wire.■
  1. Disconnect the jumper wires from the front suspension stroke sensor.

  1. Check for continuity between the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector No. 6 and No. 13 terminals and body ground respectively.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to ground in the wire.■
NO -
Replace the front suspension stroke sensor.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector.
  1. Disconnect the headlight leveling control unit 16P connector.

  1. Check for continuity between the front suspension stroke sensor 3P connector No. 1 and No. 2 terminals.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Repair a short to power in the wire.■
NO -
Replace the front suspension stroke sensor.■
