DTC B1175:
Fuel Level Sensor (Fuel Gauge Sending Unit) Circuit Open

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
-
Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0) and then back to ON (II).
-
Check for DTCs with the HDS.

Intermittent failure, the fuel level sensor circuit is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■

Do the fuel gauge sending unit test:

Is the fuel gauge sending unit OK?
|

YES
|

NO
|

|
Replace the fuel tank unit.■
|

Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
-
Disconnect the fuel tank unit 4P connector and the gauge control module 32P connector, and check for loose or damaged terminals.
-
Turn the ignition switch to ON (II).
-
Reconnect the connectors, and measure the voltage between the No. 6 and No. 18 terminals of the gauge control module 32P connector and No. 1 and No. 3 terminals of the fuel tank unit 4P connector.

Is there less than 0.5 V?

YES

Repair the loose connection or open in the PUR or ORN wire between the gauge control module and fuel tank unit.■
