DTC Troubleshooting: 113

DTC 113:
 Lost Communication with the Gauge Control Module
Is the gauge control module OK?
YES -
Go to Step 2 .
NO -
Replace the gauge control module and recheck.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON (II) and the main switch to ON.
Is DTC 113 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the 20P connector from the adaptive cruise control (ACC) unit.
  1. Disconnect the gauge control module 32P connector.
  1. Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and gauge control module 32P connector No. 22 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 9 .
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).■

  1. Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and gauge control module 32P connector No. 21 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If the connections are OK, update the ACC unit, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit.
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANL).■
