DTC Troubleshooting: 112
DTC 112:
 Lost Communication with the VSA Modulator-Control Unit
  1. Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).■
NO -
Go to Step 2 .
  1. Turn the main switch to ON.
Is DTC 112 indicated?
YES -
Go to Step 5 .
NO -
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
  1. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0).
  1. Disconnect the 20P connector from the ACC unit.
  1. Disconnect the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector.
  1. Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 10 terminal and the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector No. 12 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Go to Step 9 .
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANH).■
  1. Check for continuity between the ACC unit 20P connector No. 20 terminal and the VSA modulator-control unit 47P connector No. 13 terminal.
Is there continuity?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If the connections are OK, update the ACC unit, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit. ■
NO -
Repair an open in the wire between the ACC unit and the branch of the F-CAN line (CANL).■
