DTC Troubleshooting: 10

DTC 10:
 Vehicle Speed Signal Error
NOTE: If DTC 110 and DTC 111 are stored at the same time as DTC 10, troubleshoot DTC 110 and DTC 111 first, then recheck for DTC 10.
  1. Check for PGM-FI system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTC indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated PGM-FI system DTC(s).■
NO -
Go to Step 2 .
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES -
Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).■
NO -
Go to Step 3 .
  1. Test-drive the vehicle at 15 km/h (9.3 mph) or more, and turn the main switch to ON.
  1. Test-drive with the ACC activated, and watch the ACC indicator.
Does the ACC indicator come on?
YES -
Go to Step 6 .
NO -
Intermittent failure. The system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.■
Is DTC 10 indicated?
YES -
Check for loose or poor connections. If the connections are OK, update the ACC unit, then recheck. If the ACC unit was already updated, replace the ACC unit.
NO -
Troubleshoot the indicated DTC(s).■
