Rear Seat Release Lever Replacement
NOTE:
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the interior trim.
  • The left seat-back release lever is shown; the right seat-back release lever is similar.
  1. From the trunk compartment, remove the clips, and release the hook (A), then remove the seat-back release lever (B).
    NOTE: To remove the clips, pry the inner clip up at the edge near the line (C) on its head.
  1. Disconnect the rear seat-back release cable (A). Take care not to kink the cable.
  1. Install the release lever in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • If the clips are damaged or stress-whitened, replace them with new ones.
    • Make sure the release cable is connected securely.
    • Make sure the seat-back locks securely and unlocks properly.
