Rear Seat-back Latch/Release Cable Removal/Installation
NOTE:
  • Take care not to bend or scratch the interior trim.
  • The left rear seat-back latch/release cable is shown; the right rear seat-back latch/release cable is similar.
  1. From the trunk compartment, detach the cable clip fastening the seat-back release cable (A).
  1. Disconnect the seat-back release cable (A) from the seat-back latch (B), and detach the cable clip fastening the left seat-back release cable on the trunk lid key cylinder bracket (C). Take care not to damage the cable fastener (D).
  1. Remove the bolts, then remove the latch (A).
  1. Install the latch/release cable in the reverse order of removal, and note these items:
    • Make sure the release cable is connected securely.
    • Make sure the seat-back locks securely and unlocks properly.
