NOTE:

Take care not to scratch the dashboard and its related parts.

When removing components, use the trim tools or equivalent.

The left side defogger vent trim is shown; the right side defogger vent trim is symmetrical.
-
Insert the appropriate trim tool into a gap between the side defogger vent trim (A) and the dashboard, and pry the hook (B).
-
Pull out the trim to release the tab (C), then remove the trim.
-
Install the tab portion of the trim first, then push the hook into place securely.
