Front Passenger's Airbag Replacement
Removal
NOTE: If the front passenger's airbag has been deployed, refer to the install for after a collision where the front passenger's airbag deployed.
  1. Do the battery terminal disconnection procedure, then wait for 3 minutes before starting work.
  1. Disconnect the dashboard wire harness 4P connector (A) from front passenger's airbag.
  1. Remove the right center heater duct (A).
  1. Remove the mounting nuts (A) and mounting bolts (B) from the bracket. Remove the front passenger's airbag (C) and bracket (D).
Installation
  1. Place the front passenger's airbag (A) into the bracket (B). Tighten the front passenger's airbag mounting nuts (C) and mounting bolts (D).
  1. Reinstall the right center heater duct (A).
  1. Connect the dashboard wire harness 4P connector (A) to front passenger's airbag, then reinstall the glove box.
  1. After installing the airbag, confirm proper system operation: Turn the ignition switch ON (II); the SRS indicator should come on for about 6 seconds and then go off.
