Side airbag cutoff indicator does not come on

NOTE:

If the SRS indicator also stays on, go to SRS indicator stays on, but no DTCs are stored.
Before replacing the SRS unit, check the SRS unit software version with the HDS. If the software version is not the latest, update the SRS unit software and retest.

Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

Does the side airbag cutoff indicator come on?

YES	-	Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.■
NO	-	Go to Step 3 .

Does the side airbag cutoff indicator come on?

YES	-	Faulty SRS unit; replace the SRS unit. ■
NO	-	Faulty gauge control module; replace the gauge control module. ■
