Vehicle speed cannot be set when the SET switch is pressed (between 72 km/h (45 mph) and 180 km/h (112 mph))
Diagnostic procedure
  1. Test the ACC combination switch.
  2. Test the transmission range switch.
  3. Test the brake pedal position switch.
  4. Check for a short in the SCS line.
Also check for
  • Blown No. 1 (7.5 A) fuse in the under-dash fuse/relay box
  • An open in the wire
  • A short in the wire
  • The system is in service mode
