Maintenance Schedule for Severe Conditions - Australia and New Zealand

Follow the severe conditions maintenance schedule if the customer's vehicle is driven MAINLY under one or more of the following conditions:
NOTE: If the vehicle is driven OCCASIONALLY under severe conditions, follow the normal conditions maintenance schedule.
Service at the indicated distance or time whichever comes first

Every 5,000 km (3,125 miles) or 6 months
Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or 1 year
  Use normal conditions except in dusty conditions.
Every 30,000 km (18,750 miles)
Every 40,000 km (25,000 miles)
  Replace fuel filter every 40,000 km (25,000 miles) or 2 years, if the fuel   the customer uses is suspected to be contaminated.
Every 100,000 km (62,500 miles)
  Look for cracks and damage, then check the position of the drive belt   auto-tensioner indicator.
  Use genuine Honda All Season Antifreeze/Coolant Type 2.
At 200,000 km (120,000 miles) or 10 years, then every 100,000 km (60,000 miles) or 5 years
  Use genuine Honda MTF.
  Use genuine Honda ATF-Z1.
  • Check the brake pad and disc thickness. Check for damage or cracks.
  • Check the calipers for damage, leaks, and tightness.
Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or 6 months
  • Use only DOT 3 or DOT 4 brake fluid. We recommend genuine Honda Brake Fluid.
  • Check the brake fluid level is between upper and lower marks on the reservoir.
Every 3 years
  Check the parking brake operation.
  Check the position of the headlights.
Test drive (noise, stability, dashboard operation)
Rotate tyres
  Check tyre inflation and condition at least once per month.
Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles)
    Visually inspect the following items:
  • Check for correct installation and position, check for cracks, deterioration, rust, and leaks.
  • Check tightness of screws, nuts, and joints. If necessary, retighten.
  • Check rack grease and steering linkage.
  • Check the boot for damage and leaking grease.
Every 10,000 km (6,250 miles) or 6 months
  • Check the bolts for tightness.
  • Check all dust covers for deterioration and damage.
  • Check the boot and boot band for cracks.
  • Check rack grease.
  Check the master cylinder and VSA modulator-control unit and leakage.
All fluid levels and condition of fluids
  Check levels and check for leaks. If necessary, add.
  Check the exhaust pipe and muffler for damage, leaks, and tightness.
  • Check fuel lines for loose connections, cracks, and deterioration.
  • Retighten loose connections and replace any damaged parts.
